Who we build for

Our products are made for small teams and solo founders. This is what that means in practice.

One small cabin with a lit window in a wide valley at dusk, in grainy color.

We build for small teams and solo founders. That decides who we listen to, and it shapes every product on this site.

Big-company software does not fit

Most business software is designed for a company with departments. It assumes one person to set it up, another to train everyone, and a meeting to approve the budget.

A team of four has none of that. They need the tool to work this afternoon. Every hour spent on setup is an hour taken from their own product.

What we aim for instead

We try to hold every product to a few rules. You can start alone, without talking to anyone. The product is useful on the first day. It does one job well. When something breaks, a person answers.

None of this is new. It is hard to keep up as a product grows, and most products let it go.

Why this group

We are a small company ourselves. We know what a small team's day looks like, because ours looks the same.

Stay in the loop.

Notes on building a new type of product company, and news when we ship. We write only when there is something to say.
